This was a difficult decision. We know the importance of meeting face-to-face to learn and share experiences. The realities of COVID-19 and it's impact mean that we have to be safe and sensitive to the needs of Early Childhood Education providers. For safety and financial reasons, this was the right move to make.

Participation in an online conference requires having some minimum technical needs met. Here are the most important items you will need to know, and check before the conference.

You can view or DOWNLOAD a copy of the requirements from the conference platform here, but these are the basics:

• BROWSER: Chrome and Firefox are recommended. Safari and Edge are supported. Please do not use Internet Explorer (IE). You will need to make sure your browser is updated. Here is a bit of information for how to do that.
• INTERNET: You will need stable internet. For Attendees to have uninterrupted access: min. 25Mbps DOWNLOAD speed (attendees with slower speed should use Webcast Mode) Check with your internet service provider if your speed isn't fast enough. Sometimes they will allow you to make a one-time change.
• OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows or Mac
  • WINDOWS: Minimum of XP, Vista, 7* or later (Windows 7 is no longer being supported, thus may have issues)
  • MAC: OS X 10.6 or later

With the decision to take the conference online, we are "pivoting" to make sure that we deliver and exceptional online event. We have had to take the old budget, tear it up, and start all over! We are working hard to make sure that we deliver a quality event at an affordable price.

• Member Full Event: Early Bird by February 1 Extended through February 5 : $75 | After February 5: $100
• Non-Member Full Event: Early Bird by February 1 Extended through February 5 : $100 | After February 5: $125
• Student Full Event: Early Bird by February 1 Extended through February 5 : $25 | After February 5 $50 (Must be a full-time student in an ECE Program.)

Active members of VAAEYC will receive a special codes via email when registration opens. If you are a member of another NAEYC affiliate or in another state, we will have to verify your membership which may take a bit of extra time. (We have to reach out to each affiliate to confirm membership.) So when you request the code be sure to include your name, address, and email address to help us verify it faster. Be sure to update your membership listing with NAEYC or SECA to make sure we have your email address.

You'll need to provide your school name and your student ID number, or a copy of a current class registration. Only full-time students are eligible for the discount. Email us here with your verification information for the promo code.

Yes! The following discounts are offered for groups:
10 - 50 attendees registered at the same time from the same organization: $10 off EACH registration.
51 - 150 attendees registered at the same time from the same organization: $15 off EACH registration.
151 attendees from the same organization: $20 off EACH registration.
To receive the group registration discount, all registrations must be entered at the same time. If you have a large group to register, we recommend contacting us to provide you with a custom spreadsheet to upload the data. Reach out HERE to let us know you are interested. 
 

Yes! 

If you are paying by check your registration will not be complete and you will not have conference access until payment is received. So please allow time for mailing and processing! All payments must be received by March 1, 2021.

If you are paying by Purchase Order, please have the purchase order number, AND an image or copy of the purchase order to upload. This information is needed in the registration process so please ensure that you have this information BEFORE you start to register. 

After March 1, 2021 all registrations will be by credit card only.

 

Yes, a unique email address is required for each participant.

This event is fully online so this unique email address is used to receive communication, login to the conference platform, and receive certificates.

Yes! If you just need proof of attendance for your employer, the conference platform will track what sessions you participate in and you will be able to download your own report.

vaaeyc has once again partnered with ProSolutions to offer verified  CEU for the approved online sessions. Verified CEU is required if you are pursuing the CDA credential and some programs may require it. Please check with your program to see if it is needed. There is a $20 fee to have Verified CEU through ProSolutions and there are specific steps you must take to ensure you receive the credit. Verified Credit is only available for LIVE or SIMULIVE sessions. You will have to login to each session, complete the attention check, and the workshop evaluation, and complete the required ProSolutions forms.


 

All conference registrations are non-refundable since the conference sessions may be viewed until March 28, 2021.

In special circumstances such as loss of employment or a family crisis you may reach out HERE for special consideration.

Even if you can't participate in the live broadcast - they good news is that you will now have access to all recorded content until March 28, 2021. So you can watch all of the content on your own schedule.

If you can't watch live and you paid for verified CEU, you will be refunded only the $20 paid for verification since it only applies to live sessions.
