Predicting the Past to Remember the Future: Lessons from an Enduring Health Care Innovation CenterSince opening in 2006, Kaiser Permanente’s Garfield Innovation Center has hosted over 100,000 visitors from around the globe and become a beacon for enduring innovation at Kaiser Permanente. Although many health care organizations develop innovation functions, few sustain their investment over time.
Using this framework, participants will explore lessons from thirteen years of developing, sustaining and re-imagining an innovation center designed to help them envision possible futures for their own innovation efforts. We will explore how teams co-create solutions that work for patients, their families and the health care system.
