Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching

CAST 2020 Update

November 5 -7, 2020 | Houston, TX

Each year, more than 5,000 educators and science advocates gather for the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching, aka CAST, one of the nation’s premier science education conferences. Presented by the Science Teachers Association of Texas, this three-day conference of all things science includes hundreds of breakout sessions presented by educators who generously share innovative classroom strategies. CAST attendees come from each of science's varied disciplines, but they are united by their passion for inspiring students to discover the world through science.

"2020 has changed the way you teach, the way students learn and what you need in professional development training. CAST Reimagined 2020 is a built-from-the-ground-up, fully virtual, professional learning experience for science educators in Texas and beyond. While we can't gather in person, we are thrilled to present this year's CAST in a 'reimagined' format, bringing you a transformed version of our premier science education conference while continuing to connect you with thousands of science educators who work and teach to inspire discovery of the world through science. The countdown is on, and we hope you'll join us soon!"
Kara Swindell, Lubbock ISD, 2020-2021 STAT Board President
