CAST 2018 Housing

10/17/18 Update: The CAST 2018 Housing Block is now closed, and our host hotels are sold out. You can continue to access this link to make changes to your existing reservation through Oct. 26. After Oct. 26, you must contact your hotel directly.

Housing scam alert:

STAT has been alerted to a telemarketing housing scam targeting CAST 2018 exhibitors. Please be aware that STAT does not engage in telemarketing for hotel or travel services. Under no circumstances will a STAT representative contact you directly in any manner regarding housing. If you enter into an agreement for a hotel reservation outside of the official CAST 2018 room block, you do so at your own risk.

Any rooms in the CAST 2018 block must be booked through links to be provided in a general STAT email later this summer. The CAST 2018 room block is vetted to ensure the accommodations are close to the conference site, meet STAT’s standards and are offered at a discounted price.

Large conferences such as CAST are often targeted by unscrupulous third parties purporting to representing the presenting entity (in this case, STAT). In some cases, the third party might even illegally use our logo to imply affiliation. These “room poachers” claim to offer cut-rate housing or suggest the actual room block is sold out in order to secure your credit card information. The third party then runs booking fees and other charges for reservations that do not exist.
