Safety Resources at the Greater Columbus Convention Center

The Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) has a robust safety and security plan. Should a security situation arise, GCCC Public Safety and Event Management personnel are trained to determine the best course of action to take at all levels of emergencies.

  • In the case of an emergency while at the convention center, do not call 911. Because of the size of the facility, calling 911 may result in longer response times from Fire, Police, or EMS due to the size of the facility.

    • To reach the Public Safety Team, contact: 614-827-2547 or 2547 from any house phone

    • This number connects directly to the GCCC Public Safety Team, which is in direct contact with all emergency response teams.

  • When reporting an incident, mention a room number, booth number, or landmark to describe your location.

  • Frequent patrolling is assigned to all GCCC parking facilities with 24/7 monitoring of surveillance footage.

  • Attendees can always request a security escort from GCCC Public Safety if they do not feel 100% comfortable and would like an escort to their hotel/destination.

  • Law enforcement is consistently on-site and can quickly respond to any situation if needed.
