Mastering Thoracic Anesthesia: Hands-On Training in Lung Isolation, Crisis Management, and Regional Analgesia Techniques
This workshop will consist of hands-on demonstration of various stations equipped with fiberoptic bronchoscope, video cameras, mannequins, lung models, double-lumen tubes and a variety of endobronchial blockers and a DLT with an embedded camera. In addition, a pediatric thoracic station will be available. There will also be live models for in vivo ultrasound applications of thoracic epidurals and paravertebral blocks. (The Thoracic Anesthesia Workshop is included if registered for Controversies, Challenges, and Innovation: Contemporary Thoracic Anesthesia Practice — Master Class.)
After completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in airway management and lung isolation techniques.
- Apply crisis management strategies to thoracic anesthesia-specific complications.
- Perform ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques relevant to thoracic surgery.
