Kickstart teacher training in your district on three-dimensional instruction!  Participants will deepen their understanding of three-dimensional teaching and learning by focusing on developing storylines and learning how to use their resources to support implementation efforts in their schools and districts.

Workshop Objectives
  • Conduct an investigation where participants actively engage in science and engineering practices in the context of explaining a phenomenon or designing a solution to a problem in order to understand that the integration of all three dimensions (Practices, Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts) is essential to coherent instruction.
  • Analyze the practices, core ideas, and crosscutting concepts to support the development of coherent lessons and units.
  • Construct a coherent storyline for a unit of instruction that support students understanding of phenomena and their development and use of practices, core ideas, and crosscutting concepts.
