Important Booking Information
Do make sure to make your reservation through the Passkey to get the special conference hotel rates. Making reservations through the hotel directly, or through a central hotel reservation number, will not guarantee that you receive the NSTA discounted rates.
Do make your hotel reservation as soon as possible. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. For best availability, make your reservation online.
Do not fax your Housing Request Form to NSTA. In particular, some people have sent a Housing Request Form along with their conference registration. This will delay the processing of your hotel reservation.
The hotel does not accept Purchase Orders for deposits or payment of hotel rooms.
If it is necessary that you cancel your reservation, do so as soon as possible to avoid penalty.
NSTA has made arrangements with several major airlines to offer discounted fares to Charlotte area conference attendees. Go online or call NSTA-designated airlines toll free and use the following NSTA codes to receive discounts off even the lowest promotional fares. Please note that each airline has different booking policies. The discounts below apply for travel between Nov. 26 and Dec. 4 (Charlotte, North Carolina).

Delta—Up to 5% off applicable classes of service for tickets purchased prior to the conference. Choose your flight arrival/departure dates and access NSTA discounts by clicking on “Advanced Search” on www.delta.com/meetings and inserting NMR3M in the Meeting Event Code box. Ground Transportation to/from Airport:
A variety of ground transportation options are available to/from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the conference hotels in Center City. Taxis are a flat $25 rate to Center City, not including tip. Uber and Lyft are an average of $20. Affordable Charlotte Shuttle (www.affordablecharlotteshuttle.com) is $28 for a one-way ride and can be booked in advance. There are a variety of private transportation companies that can also be booked in advance for airport transportation. To see a complete list of airport approved companies, click here. All transportation can be picked up outside baggage claim, in between Zones C and D.
Getting Around Town
You’ll find that many of Center City’s hotels, attractions, restaurants, and nightlife are located within comfortable walking distance of each other. If you prefer not to walk, CATS operates local bus routes and the Lynx light rail. Please visit www.ridetransit.org for schedules, fares, and other services. Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis are also readily available. Most hotels within Center City partner with limousine companies and will have town cars and other vehicles on-call for hotel guests. Please inquire with your hotel for more information. Charlotte also has bicycles and scooters available for rent including B-Cycle, Lime bike and scooter, and Bird. Parking
There are a variety of parking deck and surface lot parking options near the Charlotte Convention Center. For real-time availability and rates, click here. Most lots do not offer overnight parking, please plan accordingly if overnight parking is needed.
