WORKSHOP AND SESSION DETAILS

EEO counselors and investigators are expected to understand the evolving EEO landscape and adjust their practices accordingly. This interactive and engaging workshop led by FDR all-stars Roslyn Brown and Allison Uehling will meet your training requirements while refreshing and enhancing your knowledge of EEO case law, regulations, executive orders, emerging issues, and hot topics. The full-day workshop will offer best practices in writing reports, interviewing witnesses, gathering data, writing breach-proof settlement agreements, and avoiding missteps in EEO investigations. This workshop will also feature a presentation by Lynda Glover, Senior Partner at Axis TD, who will provide talking points regarding the need for EEO practitioners to have a safety net to manage the emotional toll that this work takes. As a former federal EEO manager, she speaks from experience about the components of psychological safety (trust, candor and vulnerability) which are critical in the interaction between EEO counselors and the employees they serve. It's important for EEO professionals to be aware of strategies and practices they may implement to create an atmosphere so that employees feel a level of comfort engaging in the EEO complaints process.
