Dr. Andrea Love is an immunologist and microbiologist with over a decade of experience in basic sciences, translational medicine, and clinical research.

She is a subject-matter expert in infectious disease immunology, cancer immunology, and autoimmunity, and is adept at translating complex scientific data and topics for the public and healthcare providers.

Dr. Love is the founder of Immunologic, a science and health education organization and newsletter geared toward addressing misinformation and misconceptions about scientific topics relevant to the general public.

She also serves as the Executive Director of the American Lyme Disease Foundation and is a columnist for Skeptical Inquirer. Her articles have appeared in MedPage, Slate, and the Genetic Literacy Project.

Full-time, Dr. Love works at a biotechnology company that develops tools to advance biomedical research in vaccinology, virology, immunology, immunotherapy, cell and gene therapy, therapeutic protein production, and more. She previously worked in academic research, focusing on differential host-pathogen interactions of infectious diseases, and earned her Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from New York Medical College.
