The Golden Ticket Challenge | |
HSPA’s 2026 Exhibit Hall Game, The Golden Ticket Challenge, invites attendees to explore exhibitor booths, earn points, and win prizes inspired by Baltimore’s sweet chocolate-making history. Attendees will use the conference app to scan QR codes, earn points for engagement, and compete for chocolate prizes, exhibitor giveaways, and the grand “Golden Ticket” reward.
A SWEET BALTIMORE TRADITION
Baltimore’s rich chocolate-making heritage dates back to the late 1800s, when immigrant confectioners brought European techniques and opened family-run candy shops across the city. In fact, on Valentine’s Day in 1886, a Baltimore confectioner “fudged” a batch of French caramels—creating the very first batch of fudge. Over the decades, small handcrafted operations carried on this sweet legacy, helping to establish Baltimore as a beloved hub for artisanal chocolates and nostalgic treats.
PRIZES
Prizes will be selected on Tuesday, April 28th in the Expo Hall at HSPA Central before the hall closes. Must be present to win.
Grand Prize: 2027 Conference registration & 3-nights hotel stay (value > $1,000)

Runners-Up: Assorted Chocolates from Baltimore-based confectioners
