The Chesapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineering, Inc. (CASHE) will be hosting a day of service in Baltimore the Saturday before the 56th ASHE Annual Conference & Technical Exhibition. We welcome you to join your peers and volunteers from CASHE, the Wyman Park Community Association and the Friends of Stony Run for a day of outdoor service activities in Wyman Park, a historic Baltimore landmark.
Wyman Park was annexed to Baltimore City in 1888 and is adjacent to The Johns Hopkins University. Along with its peaceful green space, the park features a Union Soldiers and Sailors Monument, dedicated in 1909. In the last few years, the park has undergone an increasing amount of renovation and clean up, particularly focused on the stream that runs through the park.
Volunteering will be take place from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., including lunch onsite. Our goal is to clean up and beautify the Tudor Arms Road entrance, and activities will include weeding, planting, pruning and general clean up. Volunteers can park at Keswick Multi-Care Center, where a shuttle will take them to the site.
