Getting to Montreal
By Air:Montreal is served by Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL), located about 20 km (12 miles) from downtown. Major airlines offer direct flights from cities across North America and beyond.
Airport to Downtown:
- Taxi / Ride-share (Uber, Lyft): Flat rate of $48.40 CAD to downtown.
- STM 747 Express Bus: $11 CAD for a 24-hour pass, takes about 45-60 minutes.
- Car Rentals & Shuttles available at the airport.
VIA Rail and Amtrak (from NYC) serve Gare Centrale, Montreal’s central train station, conveniently located downtown.
By Car:
Driving to Montreal? Be sure to check parking options at your hotel and conference venue. Downtown parking is available but can be limited.

Public Transit (STM)

Montreal is a very walkable city, especially downtown and Old Montreal. BIXI bike rentals are available across the city.
