How to Ride Information

Take the MTS Route 992 bus from the San Diego airport to the Gaslamp Quarter, which runs directly between the airport's terminals and downtown. The bus stops at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and travels downtown, with stops along the way, including near the Gaslamp Quarter.

Step-by-step guide

1. Find the bus stop: Head to the bus stop located outside of either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at the airport.
2. Board the bus: Take the MTS Route 992 bus heading towards downtown.
3. Pay your fare: You can pay using a PRONTO card, the PRONTO app, a contactless credit/debit card, or cash.
4. Exit near Gaslamp Quarter: Get off the bus at a stop along Broadway near the Gaslamp Quarter, such as Broadway & Front St. or Broadway & 8th Ave.
