BART and Muni are proud to welcome APTA attendees to the Bay Area! BART serves both the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and the Oakland International Airport (OAK). Transit Passes

Complimentary transit passes will be available for all registered conference attendees. Transit Passes will be available to pick up at both SFO and OAK airports and on-site at the BART/Muni Host Desk in the Marriot Marquis.

  • SFO & OAK Airport Pick Up Option: Volunteers will be helping hand out transit passes for registered attendees at tables just ahead of BART’s fare gates at both SFO and OAK stations on Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. See BART's SFO & OAK Directions for the location of the volunteer tables.
  • Marriot Marquis Pick Up Option: On-site at the BART/Muni Host Desk near the conference registration area.

Please note: Only those attendees that registered for the conference online one week prior to their arrival date will be able to pick up their transit passes at the SFO and OAK airports.

Accessible Transportation

Paratransit Services

If you are currently ADA certified to use Paratransit services, you may use your paratransit certification and register to use our SF Paratransit program by submitting proof of your eligibility while visiting San Francisco. Visitors without documentation (e.g., because there is no ADA Paratransit program where they reside) may still use our paratransit program but may be asked a few questions to grant presumptive eligibility during the conference. Eligibility to use SF Paratransit will be valid for up to a 21-day period.

To make sure enrollment is as easy as possible, an assigned concierge staff will be available to those attending the conference both before and during the conference. Our concierge will provide personal assistance to help with the following:

1. Assist APTA Rail Conference attendees with paratransit registration 21 days prior to the conference, enabling the use of the SF Paratransit program (van/taxi) and provide information about the program.

2. Be available to conference attendees during the conference to answer any questions about our services or to assist with any service-related concerns they may have.

Paratransit Pick-up Reservations

Call (415) 295-6945, option 2, between the hours of 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. the day before. Fares are $2.85 one-way and payable via cash (exact change) and through the MuniMobile app.

Ramp Taxi Pick-up

San Francisco has wheelchair accessible taxis! To schedule a ride, call 24/7 for a Ramp Taxi pick-up and be sure to specify that you need a “Ramp Taxi”. The following companies have ramp taxis:

You will need a TEMPORARY paratransit taxi debit card to pay for any taxi trips. Please contact our concierge to assist you with obtaining that card.
