Resource Guide for Improving Diversity and Inclusion Programs for the Public Transportation Industry TCRP Report 228

Over the next several months, the federal Coordinating Council for Access and Mobility (CCAM) partners will be working together to update the CCAM strategic plan. The goal is to identify ways federally funded transportation programs can work collaboratively across departmental boundaries to enhance mobility and increase access to essential services. The Federal Transit Administration is leading this effort, with assistance from APTA and the National Center for Mobility Management in collecting feedback from transportation providers.

All are invited to learn more, to share your experiences, and offer suggestions.

We know that “fueling” for battery electric buses is a different experience than most agencies’ current practice. Understanding and managing charging effectively will be critical with a large battery bus fleet. Agencies and their partners need to consider how best to manage their charging schedules and optimize energy use and efficiency so that they can meet service requirements and keep energy costs down.  In this session, panelists will share their experiences and strategies for managing charging, using modeling and software innovations.
