Capitol Hill Visits
While in Washington, DC, APTA strongly encourages members to visit with Senators and Representatives to brief them about the importance of public transit and passenger rail investment to your community and advocate for Congress to fully fund the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. As you may encounter some restrictions in gaining access to Congressional offices because of the ongoing pandemic, APTA has rented two locations on Capitol Hill for APTA members to take a break in between meetings or, if needed, conduct meetings with Members of Congress or staff. The first is a room at the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill, also known as the Capitol Hill Club, 300 First Street SE, Washington, D.C., which can be used for meetings with Republican Members of Congress or to take a break in between meetings. The second is the Associated General Contractors Townhouse at 53 D Street, SE, Washington, DC, which can be used for meetings with Democratic Members of Congress or to take a break in between meetings. Light refreshments will be available at both locations. Learn More & Reserve Space
