Savannah Tree Foundation
Savannah Tree Foundation protects and grows Chatham County's urban forest through tree planting, community outreach, and advocacy. You can read more on their website.
Information & Essentials
- Attire: Participants must wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that protects from sun exposure, vines, and dirt (long pants reccomended).
- All tools, guidance, and instruction will be provided onsite.
- Please bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray if needed.
Transportation
Transportation to and from Savannah Tree Foundation is on your own. You can get to the site by car (Uber/Lift) and is about a 22 min drive from the hotel. Please note that March 16 is the day before Saint Patrick's Day, which is typically the busiest time of year in Savannah. Plan to give yourself more time to commute in case of potential road closures and possible transportation delays that morning.
