Management of Peri-implant Esthetic Complications: Implants in the Esthetic Zone: Risks, Complications, and Solutions
To achieve predictable and optimal outcomes, contemporary multidisciplinary treatment in periodontal patients should aim to achieve not only functional stability but also aesthetic harmony. The sequelae of periodontitis represent a complex therapeutic challenge. Among them, tooth replacement in the anterior zone with dental implants implies careful diagnosis and treatment planning in the context of interdisciplinary dentistry. In this lecture, protocols to facilitate the execution of interdisciplinary treatment plans to rehabilitate the aesthetic zone in patients with a history of periodontitis will be presented, with a special focus on minimally invasive techniques.

Management of Peri-implant Esthetic Complications: State-of-the-Art Management of Peri-implant Soft Tissue Deformities
In most lectures, the wonderful successes are shown first and foremost. But unfortunately, this is never the whole clinical reality. Anyone who treats many patients must also expect complications and solve them in some way. In the esthetic zone in connection with implants, problems are often difficult to correct. Possible problems are numerous and can include ugly scar tissue, soft tissue discoloration and, most commonly, lack of soft tissue volume. In this lecture, we will discuss how to manage problems that occur during treatment and how to treat late complications.

Surgical Approaches for Management of Peri-implantitis: When and How
Peri-implantitis is a plaque-associated pathological condition characterized by the mucosal inflammation along with progressive loss of supporting bone. Substantial evidence suggests that non-surgical therapy is of limited efficacy in arresting further bone loss, thus indicating the necessity of surgical intervention in the majority of patients diagnosed with peri-implantitis.
Achieving optimal treatment results in diverse clinical situations requires proper knowledge of indications and surgical performance of different surgical treatment modalities. This lecture will cover different surgical peri–implantitis treatment concepts, including reconstructive, resective, and combined surgical therapies, and the decisive factors in determining which surgical technique is most appropriate in different peri-implantitis cases. Important aspects of soft-tissue management and rationale for soft-tissue volume grafting following surgical peri-implantitis treatment, as well as the prognostic factors associated with treatment outcomes will be further discussed.

Management of Peri-implant Esthetic Complications: Peri-implant Soft Tissue Dehiscences: Classification and Treatment
The recession of the buccal soft tissue margin is a frequent complication of well-integrated dental implants. The appearance of metallic structure or even their transparency through the thin buccal soft tissues are common reasons for patient aesthetic complaints. Moreover, bad implant installation frequently results in excessive apical dislocation of the buccal soft tissue margin of the implant-supported crown. Soft-tissue, plastic surgical procedures and bilaminar techniques in particular, can be successfully used in combination with a pre- and post- surgical prosthetic approaches to increase the volume of the interdental soft tissue, to treat buccal gingival recessions and soft tissue dehiscence around dental implants and to provide the new implant supported crown with an esthetic transmucosal emergence profile.
