Through the National Alliance for Care at Home Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the National Alliance for Care at Home, scholarships are available to support attendance at the 2026 Annual Meeting and Exposition for Alliance provider members who might otherwise be unable to participate.
This scholarship program is made possible by the generous support of Norman and Linda McRae.
Don’t wait until July 19 to apply.
Applications are reviewed in May, with notifications issued by June 1, and again in July, with notifications issued by July 31. Applicants will receive notification of their status following the review cycle in which their application is considered.
Current Alliance provider membership is required. Scholarships are not available to non-members or non-provider members. Alliance provider members who apply and do not receive a scholarship but still wish to attend will be provided with a code to register at the member early bird rate.
Eligibility and Criteria
To apply for a scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a current Alliance provider member.
- Be employed by programs that are unable to cover, or would face difficulty covering, the cost of conference attendance and travel expenses.
- To ensure broad access, individuals who received a scholarship within the past two years are not eligible this year. To promote equitable distribution, organizations may receive only one scholarship within a two-year period, and applicants from organizations with a recipient in the past year are not eligible.
- Providers with few or no participants already registered for the conference.
During application review, additional weight may be given to:
- Smaller programs that are less able to financially support conference attendance.
- Programs working to expand access in traditionally underserved communities, including rural areas, urban areas, and communities of color.
- One complementary full conference individual registration to the 2026 Annual Meeting and Expo. Pre-conference workshops are not included.
- The National Alliance for Care at Home Foundation will reimburse travel expenses and incidentals up to $1,000 per individual. Eligible expenses include flights, ground transportation, and meals.
- Financial awards are capped at $1,000 with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis depending on demonstrated need.
- The Foundation will make your hotel reservation. A complimentary two-night stay at a Foundation-selected conference hotel is included with your scholarship. Any additional hotel nights or reservations made independently are the responsibility of the recipient and will not be reimbursed.
- Applications will be reviewed in two rounds by the National Alliance for Care at Home Foundation and a designated selection committee.
- Applications will be reviewed in May, with notifications issued by June 1, and again in July, with notifications issued by July 31. Applicants will receive notification of their status following the review cycle in which their application is considered.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for entering their information into the Alliance accounting system and submitting reimbursement requests with receipts for eligible expenses.
- Reimbursement will be issued via electronic funds transfer after the conference, up to the approved award amount and in accordance with the submitted documentation.
- Scholarship recipients will be acknowledged during the conference.
- Recipients are expected to provide a brief overview of their conference experience and feedback afterward.
- Final Submission Deadline: July 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (ET)
