Manager Development Program Foundational Course
October 27-28, 2026 | Day 1: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Day 2: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Join new and developing managers colleagues for an intensive one-and-a-half-day of learning that will result in a wealth of practical skills and tools you can apply directly and immediately upon your returning to workplace. The MDP Foundational Course is the first step in a multi-level developmental program designed to develop competent and confident managers who can effectively manage organizational complexities.
This comprehensive management program helps new and developing managers acquire the skills needed to meet the challenges and changes they face in managing programs, systems, and people. The course provides information about hospice regulations and standards, includes a leadership assessment and model to help managers determine employee needs, develops critical thinking skills, and teaches strategies to employ during interviewing, coaching, feedback, and evaluation processes.
Extensive materials and resources are provided during the classroom experience, and managers have ample opportunity to collaborate and learn from their peers. Following this course, additional in-person and online learning opportunities are provided to ensure ongoing professional development. 12.5 hours of continuing education credit will be available for nurses and physicians who attend both full days of the program. Breakfast and lunch are included on both days.

Introduction to Compliance and Quality Workshop

The Introduction to Quality and Compliance Workshop offers a high-level exploration of regulatory standards, compliance essentials, and quality management critical to care at home providers. Participants gain practical insights through structured modules covering eligibility, patient care standards, organizational management, and the intricacies of Medicare conditions of payment. Through engaging real-world regulatory scenarios, this comprehensive program empowers professionals to confidently enhance compliance, elevate quality, and promote improvement in care delivery.

- Learn how to design an effective compliance program and conduct internal compliance investigations
- Discuss up-to-date and emerging compliance and quality issues, such as HOPE implementation, quality reporting, and the HIPAA implications of AI use
- Understand current trends in government enforcement
