With the combined impact of the workforce shortages in many fields, the pandemic, socio-political divisiveness and violence, our professions must develop better strategies to sustain our employees and serve our communities. This session explores how leaders can create organizational cultures in which all employees can thrive during challenging circumstances and will offer actionable strategies for how to add unique value to their organizations through discussion of trauma-informed care, wellness challenges, and practices. Additionally, approaches and best practices for fostering inclusion and retention of a diverse workforce will be presented. Finally, the presentation will cover strategies to help with individual responses to events beyond our control.
