Presenting at ACHI
Concurrent breakout sessions are the primary educational component of the ACHI National Conference. These sessions are an opportunity to share innovative strategies and lessons learned with peers. Breakout sessions should include a focus on models or tools that session participants can take back to their organizations. ACHI is committed to producing professional education of the highest caliber. Presenters should convey knowledge, demonstrate actionable tools for community health improvement and engage conference participants in discussion.
In each room, ACHI will provide a laptop computer; projector and screen; podium with wired microphone; and a head table for 3 with a tabletop microphone. Notify us if you have any additional requests, such as playing a video. More details about room layouts will be provided in 2020.
Each session will last 60 minutes and should include a presentation or interactive component, with 15 minutes reserved for Q&A. We encourage breakout sessions to have presenters representing diverse perspectives. Each team can include up to four presenters. Session formats may include skill-building activities, demonstrations, or whatever approach you think will best engage conference attendees. Be creative!
Posters may present case studies unique to the community or novel tools for community and population health improvement. The poster presentation will take place during the Welcome Reception on Monday, June 15 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to view and discuss posters with presenters.
