Presenting at ACHI

Breakout Sessions

Concurrent breakout sessions are the primary educational component of the ACHI National Conference. These sessions are your opportunity to share innovative strategies and lessons learned with your peers. Breakout sessions should include a focus on models or tools that session participants can take back to their organizations. ACHI is committed to producing professional education of the highest caliber. Presenters should convey knowledge, demonstrate actionable tools for community health improvement and engage conference participants in discussion.

ACHI will provide laptop computers; projector and screen; podium with microphone; head table for 3 with a wired table-top microphone; and audio cord. Notify us if you have any additional requests, such as playing a video.

Each session will last 60 minutes and should include a presentation or interactive activity, with 15 minutes reserved for Q&A. We recommend applying as a presentation team and encourage you to have individuals representing diverse perspectives. Each team can include up to three presenters. Session formats may include skill-building activities, demonstrations, or whatever approach you think will best engage conference attendees. Be creative!

ACHI will assign a date and time for your session and notify you before January 2019.

Poster Presentations

Posters may present case studies unique to the community or novel tools for community and population health improvement. The networking poster session will take place during the Welcome Reception on the evening of Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to view and discuss posters with presenters. The lead presenter is expected to attend the conference and stand by their poster during the reception.

Presenter's name, biography, and poster title will be available on the mobile app. Conference attendees will be able to view your poster via the mobile app.

Poster presenters are responsible for printing, mounting/dismounting and transporting their posters. ACHI will provide a four-foot-tall by six-foot-wide board for each poster. Poster set up is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, and we encourage you to leave your poster up for the duration of the conference. If you will be shipping your poster to the hotel, please use the mailing address below. Presenters are responsible for covering any shipping costs.
