The recent widespread incorporation of digital technology has placed the dental team in a unique position to control all facets of implant therapy like never before. This exciting presentation will cover a comprehensive set of restorative topics including cutting-edge digital workflows and innovative solutions for simple and complex cases. Topics will include complete digital workflows for partial and full-arch implant restorations, differences between fully digital and digital/analog systems, and how to simplify therapy while minimizing complications through the right material and implant selection. Recent technological advancements that can overcome important limitations of current intraoral scanners and facilitate challenging implant cases will also be presented. 

Upon completion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  • Differentiate between fully digital and digital/analog workflow systems;
  • Understand digital technology that can overcome important limitations of intraoral scanners and simplify partial and full-arch implant treatment;
  • Identify material combinations for full arch fixed prostheses that may minimize common complications while reducing the need for extensive surgical intervention.
Speaker Bio:
Dr. Polack earned his dental degree in 1995, and his specialty training in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 2000. Dr. Polack has been involved full-time in private practice in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Between 2002 and 2004, he was also a guest scientist at the Ceramics Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology where he was involved in several dental ceramics research projects. Dr Polack has published more than 40 abstracts and papers on prosthodontics and dental materials in various scientific journals and lectures both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American College of Prosthodontics, American Dental Association, ad a fellow of the International Team for Implantology.
