In this evidence-based presentation, discover how advanced membrane technology is revolutionizing regenerative procedures. Explore the unique properties of BioXclude, a dehydrated human allograft composed of laminated amnion-chorion membrane, distinguished by its signature smiley face stamp - a mark of authenticity that reflects the positive outcomes it delivers. Through detailed case stuides and clinical evidence, learn how this placental tissue-derived membrane serves not only as a reliable barrier but also as a bioactive healing promoter through its natural growth factors. The session examines specific surgical techniques, membrane handling protocols, and optimal placement strategies to maximize both barrier function and regenerative potential. Participants will leave with a comprehensive understanding of when and how to incorporate this innovative membrane technology into their surgical protocols for enhanced patient outcomes that are truly worth smiling about.Vinay Bhide, BArtsSc (Hons.), DDS, MSc
In the past decade, there has been much intrigue and interest regarding the use of dehydrated human de-epithelialized amnion-chorion membranes (ddACM) for various periodontal and oral surgical procedures. The unique biological properties of ddACM are what differentiate this biomaterial from others in its peer group. This evidence-based presentation will discuss the biology, advantages, and utility of ddACM as a bioactive barrier membrane to facilitate predictable augmentation of deficient alveolar ridges in preparation for implant therapy as well as for regeneration of bone in the surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.
